Christmas is a time of joy and celebration and for many Christmas also carries undertones of grief, loss, and sorrow.
Christmas can be a painful time for some. It may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died; it may also be a time that has continued to be difficult.
If you’ve lost a loved one in the past few years and wish remember them in a special way, a service is being held on December 21. This is called the Longest Night Service as it is held every year on the 21st of December.
You are invited to join together at St. Paul United Church in Westville (1944 Church St.) on Thursday, December 21st at 7 pm for this Longest Night Service – a worship service for those who have heaviness in their heart this Christmas
If you’ve lost a loved one this past year and wish to honour their memory during our Longest Night service, kindly share their photo and details with us. This service is open to everyone regardsless of your church affiliations or even if you don’t have any church connection at all.
