It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Kathy M. May of Fortune, formerly of Garnish, announces her passing. Kathy passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at the age of 53.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her loving sister, Patsy May (Cecil Fudge) of Creston South; brother, Billy May of London, ON; son, Gregory May (Ashley) of Frenchman’s Cove; grandsons, Parker and Landen; special aunt, who was like a mom to her, Brenda Brown of St. John’s; nieces, Erica Penny (Kirk) of Charlottetown, Stephanie May (Shawn Walsh) of Lewin’s Cove; nephews, Jean Paul Landry (Alicia) of Saskatchewan, Daniel Landry of Calgary AB; home care worker, Amanda Follett; social worker, Kim Slaney; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Eric May and Elizabeth May; sister Maxine May; grandparents, William and Florence Strowbridge & grandparents, William and Agnes May.
The May Family will be gathering for family and close friends at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on
Wednesday, January 4th
10am – 12 noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
At the Families Request, ***Masks are required for Visitation***
Cremation to follow with inurnment at St. Alban’s Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank at a later date.
In Kathy’s memory, donations may be made to Epilepsy NL and Labrador or flowers gratefully accepted.
