It is with great sadness that we the family of Wilma Baker announce her passing on December 21, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Big Lorraine, she was the daughter of the late Captain Fraser and Mary “Mae” (Tutty) Wilcox.
Wilma lived a full and happy life with her family in Louisbourg.
She is survived by her daughter Eileen (late Gill) Anderson; son Brent (Joanne) Baker; grandchildren who affectionately known her as “Nan” Courtney, Erica (Kenzie), Everette, Charlene, Phillip and Ian as well as her several nieces, nephews, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren; sister Iris (Earl) Stevens and daughter in law Bernice.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Philip, son Charles; sisters Eileen & Amelia; brothers Earl, Phillip in infancy and adopted brother Charles Fiander.

Visitation will be 1-3 Wednesday followed by a Celebration of her Life in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home with Rev Sheldon Chant and Rev Peter Rafuse officiating.
