Age 83 of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia died peacefully at home December 29, 2016.
Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late LeRoy W. Harrison and Dorothy (Brothers-Harrison) Lawrence.
William served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years, as a physical education and recreation officer.
He was predeceased by brothers, Gerald, LeRoy Jr., Philip, and James; sisters, Marion (Percy) Johnson and Dorothy (James) Wells.
He is survived by his wife, together for 40 years, Joan (Rosere); brother, Paul, Saint John, NB; brother-in-law, James Wells, Baltimore, USA; step-sons, Michael (Silvia Frausin) Moir, Hammonds Plains, NS; Stephen (Gina Santos Lopes) Moir, Ottawa, ON; step-daughter, Deborah Moir, Dartmouth, NS; step-granddaughter, Kristen (James Taylor) Moir, Ottawa, ON; step-grandson, Matthew Murphy, Halifax, NS; son, William Harrison; daughter, Lynn Harrison; grandsons, Ross Harrison and Bryan Harrison; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by his request. Burial to take place at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
