William Feher (February 13 1938 November 17 2017)

(February 13 1938 November 17 2017)
In loving memory of William “Bill” Feher, age 79 years, who passed away in the Dryden Regional Health Center on Friday, November 17th. He is survived by his wife Eva and his son Steve.
In 1956 the Russian invasion of Hungary forced Bill to flee in 1957 at the age of 17. He landed in Halifax by ship moving to Toronto, Winnipeg and finally Dryden. He began work for Pipeline in 1958 and while in Toronto he met Eva who moved to Dryden in 1960 where they were wed and had 57 years together. In 1962 they were blessed with their only child Steven.
Bill left pipeline to start working with Dryden Pulp & Paper in 1959 staying until retirement in 1997; Bill ended his career as a Digester Cook – cooking wood chips into pulp.
Bill and his family were of strong Catholic faith – but Bill had a second church which was the outdoors which brought him peace and tranquility. A soft spoken man, when Bill did say something – people tended to listen. He was a strong family man who was very structural – everything clean and in its place. He loved hunting and fishing, picking cones and he had a soft spot for animals. Bill’s son’s dog “Scooby” went everywhere with Bill.
Bill had a lot of lifelong friends that he really cared for and would help at any time: later on if they weren’t fishing they were out having their coffee.
Bill left us after a hard fought battle with cancer. Now he is at peace.
Cry not when you think of me For now may soul flies high and free Take comfort in knowing There is no more pain Encircled in the Lord’s arms I live again I’ll look down and love you all But for me there is a greater call Please don’t stand at my grave and weep Gaze to the stars and there I’ll be And someday together we will see Our love has lasted through eternity
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday November 22nd, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Alan Campeau officiating. Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery.
