William “Bill” Everts, beloved husband of 67 years to Mary Everts, passed away peacefully at the Pincher Creek Health Centre on December 11, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Besides his loving wife Mary, Bill will be lovingly remembered by his children Diana (Dennis) Plaza, Virginia (Terry) Opheim, Earnest (Debra) Everts and Keith (Bev) Everts; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Bill was predeceased by his 7 brothers and sisters. Bill was born and raised in Pincher Creek. As soon as he turned 18 he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army, serving in England during World War II. After the war he returned to Pincher Creek, starting his own trucking company WE Everts Trucking as well as driving the school bus. Mary and Bill were married in 1950. Bill was an active life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and when he was not at the Legion he could be found hunting, fishing or camping.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday December 16, 2017 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3, 691 Main St. Pincher Creek, AB
Memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made directly to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #43 (Box 131, Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0).
