A World War II veteran of the Royal Navy and a peacetime member of the Royal Canadian Air Force and Canadian Forces passed away peacefully at The Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre in Ottawa on Tuesday, November 21, 2017; age 91 years. Beloved husband of Josephine Mary Gardner (Donovan). Loving father of Michael (Denyse), Sheridan and James (Catherine). Cherished grandfather of Leigh, Reid, Joseph, Bradley and Julia. Son of the late Albert and Amy Gardner.
The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the caring staff at The Perley Rideau, Ottawa 1 Wing for their compassionate care.
Friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson’s Canada, The Leukemia Association or to The Kidney Foundation.
