Trafelet, Thomas George, passed away in Owen Sound on Monday October 30, 2017. Tom Trafelet of Southampton in his 78th year. Loving father of Tammy Trafelet and her husband Al Taylor of Elmwood, Linda Trafelet Goodman and her husband Don Goodman of Guelph and Bruce and his partner Mandy of Southampton. Grandfather of Shawn, Lise and Tyson and his partner Sarah. Dotting great grandfather of Charlotte. Dear friend of Donna Evans of Southampton. Also survived by his brother Joe and his wife Laurel of Park Head. Tom will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, by his taxi patrons and by his friends of the community. Predeceased by his wife Shirley, by his partner Darlene, by his infant daughter Theresa Marie, by his parents Oliver and Thelma Trafelet and by his sister Lillian. Tom will be remembered for operating the Weiss Taxi Service for over 47 years from which he recently retired. He was very proud to have been a founding member of the Southampton Water Rescue. No Visitation. Cremation. A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Tom Trafelet will be conducted in the Chapel of the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Saturday November 4, 2017 at 2pm. A Reception will follow the Service in the Family Centre of the Funeral Home. Private Interment of Ashes, Southampton Cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Grey Bruce Humane Society or to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
