Obituary for Thomas George McKnight
On December 25, 2017, Reverend Canon Thomas George McKnight of Edmonton passed away at the age of 90 years.
Canon Thomas served over 50 years with the Edmonton Anglican dioceses, over 50 years as a Chaplain with the International Police Association, and was a past President of the Dominion of Canada ANAVETS. Prior to serving the Lord, Canon Thomas was a retired Belfast Detective in Northern Ireland, as well as a Constable for the Edmonton Police Service.
Canon Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eveline; children, Paul (Wendy), Heather (Richard), and Rozamond (John); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Anne) of Northern Ireland. Predeceased by brothers, Billy and Bobby; and sister, Kathleen.
Memorial Service Saturday, December 30 at 1:30 p.m. at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral, 10035 – 103 Street. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made directly to the Army, Navy, and Air Force Veterans in Canada, Sir Winston Churchill Unit 3, Edmonton, AB T5J 3A3.
