Obituary for Terence Anthony Patrick King
Terence was born March 21, 1960 in Dublin, Ireland and passed away on December 19, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Terence’s memory lives on with his wife, Amy King; children, Tessa King, Brendan King and Declan King; parents, Patrick and Bridget (Breda) King; siblings, Catherine Gibbs, Michael King and Anthony King; nieces, Chelsea King, Courtney Dragatis, and Kelly Dragatis; nephew, Shawn King and wife Ami King (Stapleton). He will be reunited with his brother, Patrick in heaven. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Terry dedicated his life to the Royal Canadian Navy for 37 years and touched the lives of many through his kindness. He was always willing to help others with anything within his ability, whether that was building, moving or just lending a helping hand. After retirement, he continued working at Kilkenny Community Rink every winter; he enjoyed being active and giving back to the families in the community.
Thank you to everyone for your kindness and assistance in organizing the funeral.
Funeral Service Saturday, December 23 at 1:30 p.m. at HMCS Nonsuch, 11807 Kingsway NW, Edmonton with interment in Christ Church Anglican Poplar Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund, 6 Beechwood Avenue, Ste.9, Ottawa, ON K1L 8B4.
