Steven Lloyd Ayer
It is with great sadness that the family of Steven Lloyd
Ayer, 53, announces his passing on November 27, 2016 in Prince George,
British Columbia, where he was being treated for cancer. He was born
October 7, 1963 in Truro, Nova Scotia, the son of Joan and the late
Gordon H. Ayer.
Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending
time outdoors. In 1990, he moved from Moncton to Burn’s
Lake, British Columbia. In 1998, he moved to Haida Gwaii, formerly the
Queen Charlotte Islands, where he lived and served as Caretaker of the
South Moresby Lodge.
Steve is survived by his mother, Joan; brother, Mark
(Shirley) and sister, Catherine Brennan (David). He was predeceased by
his father, Gordon.
A private service for the family will follow at a later
date.
