The
family of the late Stanley E. Brake wish
to advise of the passing of a dear father, grandfather, uncle, and
Godfather to many after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to
mourn with fond and loving memories daughter: Katherine (Sean) Fancey
of Stony Plain, Alberta; son: Warren (Jennifer Higgins) of Halifax,
NS; grandchildren: Matthew Fancey, Robin Fancey, Aaron Higgins-Brake,
and Jeremy Higgins-Brake; sister: Elizabeth Meade; brothers: William
and Freeman (Maisie); best friend and nephew Wayne (Trudy) Neil and a
large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was
predeceased by his wife Jean; parents: William and Beatrice Brake as
well as twelve sisters and brothers. Dad was an active Shriner and
Mason including many years as Happy the Clown, putting smiles on lots
of faces. He loved gardening, camping, hiking, and the outdoors.
Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s
Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday 7-9 PM and
Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held on
Friday, June 30 at 2:00 PM from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence
Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. As expressions of sympathy
in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital
Patient Transportation Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity
