Sister Sara Christine Beaton (Sister St. Christine) 1928-2017 Port Hood It is with deep sorrow and a great sense of loss that the family of Sister Sara Christine Beaton and the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame announce the passing of Sister Christine on Tuesday, November 14, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Sister Christine was born in Harbour View, Inverness County, on May 4, 1928. She was the daughter of Murdoch Beaton and Mary Christina MacDonnell. Her early education took place in Harbour View School and St. Joseph Convent, Mabou and she completed her higher education in St. Francis Xavier…
