Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Hamdon, peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the age of 88. He will be lovingly missed by Faye, his wife of 63 years, his children Evelyn, Susan (Garth), Lorrine, Sid (Donna) and Brad, his grandchildren Alia, Geoffrey, Kate, Nicholas, Jennifer, Christina, Nicole, Adam and Sophia, his brothers Moneer (Pat) and Lewis (Joanne), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ali & Hilwie Hamdon and by his sisters, Evelyn, Lavida and Helen.
He was a beautiful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who loved his family above all else.
The family would like to thank Lesley Wiart and Neil MacNeil for their continuous love and support, and Dr. Allen Ausford, the 3rd floor staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, and Alberta Health Services Palliative Team for their support.
A celebration of Sidney’s life will take place on Friday, January 20th at 2:00 pm at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home (10011 – 114 Street).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Cross Cancer Institute.
