PINE TREE – Shirley Ann Greene, 76, Pine Tree, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Johnson) Wilson. Shirley was employed with the former James Diner for many years. Prior to retirement, she was employed with the Walter Duggan and Frank H. MacDonald Elementary Schools. Shirley enjoyed attending music jams, knitting and going for long drives. She touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her daughter, Angela (David) Niven, Westville; sons, Jamie (Paula), Kingston; Jeff (Mary), Pine Tree; grandchildren, Justin (Alison), Stephanie (Keven), Chris, Natasha (Matt), Corey and Ashley; step-granddaughter, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Will, Gregory, Cecilia and Jason; sister, Laura Wilson, Riverton; brother, David (Lilly) Wilson, Edmonton, Alta.; friend, Sonny Cameron, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Henry; sister, Marion MacKenzie; brother, Richard Wilson.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 22nd in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23rd in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Kenzieville Cemetery.
