Sharon Kearsey

Sharon Kearsey 13 août 1944 – 15 janvier 2017

Sharon was educated in Liverpool, N.S. and attended Mount Saint Vincent University, graduating with her B.A. in 1967 and her B.Ed. in 1968. She taught in Liverpool for two years before moving to London, England and then back to Liverpool and Dartmouth, N.S. where she substituted for many years. Sharon and her husband Tom were volunteers at the IWK Health Centre where they were cuddlers with newborn babies and became special friends to many long-term patients.
She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas, and brothers Alton and Ronald Snow. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Kearsey (Geoff MacDonald), East Pennant; her brother, Philip (Carol) Snow, Bridgewater; sister-in-laws Elizabeth and Marie Snow; Sharon Adele (Snow) Kearsey age 72 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on January 15, 2017. Born in Liverpool, N.S. on August 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William Alton and Elsie Alberta (Barnes) Snow.
nieces, Kathy Snow (Ed) Grimm and Jody (Kevin) Ryan; nephews, Paul (Brenda) Snow and Jeffrey Snow; great-nieces, Jennifer, Amanda, Jenna, Karla, Kelsey and Brittany; several great-great nieces and nephews; in-laws in England and Australia; and her four-legged friend, Tessa.
A memorial service will take place January 21, 2017 at 2:30 pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Cremation will take place under direction of Atlantic Funeral Home. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Victorian Order of Nurses.
