Shane Lloyd Head, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Kakwa Provincial Park, at the age of 20 years.
Shane was born on September 25, 1996 in Grande Prairie. He graduated in 2014 from Grande Prairie Composite High School and was currently attending Olds College completing a diploma in Agricultural Heavy Equipment Technician. He has always enjoyed building things and figuring out how things work.
Shane was well known for his easy going and kind-hearted personality, as well as his quirky sense of humor. He was very knowledgeable and always willing to give his opinion on how things could be improved upon. Shane could always be counted on to lend a helping hand no matter who or what was asked of him. He was hard-working, ambitious, and had a passion for agriculture.
Shane loved the outdoors, snowmobiling, quadding, sea-dooing, waterskiing, downhill skiing, and any adventure that he had the opportunity to participate in with his friends and family. He loved and enjoyed being part of the family farm, working alongside his dad, brother and uncles.
Shane will be sadly missed by his parents Murray and Sandra Head, brother Spencer, loving girlfriend Taylor Sorochan, grandparents Dale and Dorothy Chambers and Mary Head-MacDonald, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Lloyd Head and step-grandfather Findlay MacDonald.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 3:00pm at Christian Fellowship Assembly in Grande Prairie (11449 92 St.).
