Ms. Ruby Margaret Stanley of Reston, MB., formerly of Grenfell, SK., passed away at the Willowview PCH, Reston on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the age of 96.
Ruby leaves to mourn her special nieces, Jean (Tom) Dickson, Pat (David) Dickson, and Phyllis (Lee) Nafzger; special great-nieces, Michelle (Trevor) Pomeroy (Riley and Brody), Stacy (Todd) Boulton (Avery, Brooke and Tyson), Becky Dickson (Jeremy), and Annabelle as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; also sister-in-law Emily Stanley; and numerous friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert & Bertha (Hurren) Stanley; five siblings, Nora (Herman) Wickstrom, Velma (John) Morstad, Harvey (Olive) Stanley, Rosamond (Fred) Pratt, and Garnet Stanley.
A public graveside funeral service will be held at the Melita Cemetery, Melita, MB. on Thanksgiving Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. (MB. time) with Rev. Harvey Hurren officiating. Friends are encouraged to please bring a lawn chair to the cemetery if desired. A memorial luncheon for family and friends will follow at the Pipestone Community Hall, Pipestone, MB. at approximately 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend both the service and lunch.
Donations in memory of Ruby may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 1st Street East Brandon, MB. R7A 2W8 or to the charity of one’s choice.
