Passed away peacefully at Pleasant View Towers Long Term Care Home, St. John’s on Saturday December 23, 2017 Roy Percy originally of Brigus, age 77. Predeceased by his parents Maxwell and Myrtle Percy. Leaving to mourn his son Lee (Dana), grandchildren Leah and Noah; Daughter Danielle, granddaughter Olivia; son Christopher and grandchildren Rowan and Reid. Sister Florence Crocker, nieces Yvonne and Tracy; Uncle Clayton French (Effie) and family; Aunt Hazel Godden and family; Aunt Elsie Pynn and family; Members of the Moyst family and circle of extended family and friends. Roy was a devoted father and grandfather and truly loved his family. He worked hard all of his life, travelled the world and made friends near and far. He loved his boats, his tractors, his plane, playing hockey and all music. Roy played hockey with the Brigus Bruins and in 1958 he played against the Boston Bruins in Bay Roberts. He dearly loved his friendship with the members of the CLB Band for many years playing his trumpet. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Pleasant View Towers Long Term Care Home for all the care and attention given to Roy over the past few years. Cremation has taken place and no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue Chapel at 2 pm on Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
