1946-2017
Rosie Ethel Burgess, 71, of Lewis Mountain passed
away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 26, 2017
at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late
John and Louise (Carson) Geldart. A member of the Lewis
Mountain Baptist Church, she was the treasurer and a Sunday School
teacher. Rosie was very caring, looking after children in her home,
giving of her time as a Pastor’s wife and a volunteer at Mountain View
School and at Lakeview Manor.
Rosie is survived and missed by her beloved
husband of 50 years Vincent; sisters-in-law Betty Geldart (late
Frank), Joyce Fiset (Bob) and Rev. Carol Mullin (Merlin) and by many
cherished nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters Emma
Hopper (Charles), Laura Russell (James), Ruby Proctor (Philip), Olive
MacFarlane (Bill) and brothers Frank, Clarence and Lloyd (Irene)
Geldart.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106,
Salisbury (372-4800) visiting is Friday, July 28 from 6 to 8
pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel Saturday, July 29
at 11 am with Keith Lewis officiating. Interment at Fair
Haven Memorial Gardens.
If desired, memorials to the Lewis Mountain
Baptist Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the
family.
