O’BRIEN: R. Marie
Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Saturday November 18, 2017 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Martin O’Brien (2002). Loving mother of the late Don (2014), Sharon Cooper (Eric) of Lakefield, Darlene Sullivan (Mike) of Douro, Francis of Alberta, George (Sheila) of Peterborough, Mike (Maureen) of Otonabee, Jim of Peterborough and Rita O’Brien (Mike Barry) of Lakefield. Dear grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Survived by her brothers-in-law Gerald Coughlin and Joe O’Brien and sisters-in-law Wilma Moloney, Ella Sheehan (Gus), Bernie Roque (Arnold), Frances Kimura (Don) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Rod & Rose Moloney, daughter-in-law Sue, sisters Elizabeth Condon (Frank), Frances “Peggy” Coughlin, brother Leo Moloney, sisters-in-law Pauline Moloney (Steve) and Marg O’Brien. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 2:30 – 4:30 PM & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Hendren Chapel on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. Interment St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery, Young’s Point. Memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto or The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
