McGuire, Ronald Peter – It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald McGuire. He showed incredible strength and determination in his battle to survive until organ transplantation. Most heartbreaking is that on the day that an organ match was finally procured an unexpected complication prevented this life saving surgery. He died peacefully in the arms of his true love, Joane McGuire. Beloved husband of Joane. Dear father of Peter, Steven (Karen) and Jennifer (Gord). Grandpa of Charlotte, Chelsea, Cole, Poppy, Claire, Rex and Emily. Also, survived by a large beautiful family of brothers and sisters and their spouses, sisters-in-laws and their spouses, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Kiewit friends. Ron loved his family more than anything. Ron’s family will receive visitors at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME 2000 Merrittville Highway Fonthill, 905-892-1699 on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The celebration of Ron’s Life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation is to follow. In memory of Ron, memorial donations may be made to the Multi-organ Transplant Service, c/o University Hospital, London, Ontario.
