Passed peacefully on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Born in Barrhead, Scotland, Bob proudly served in the RAF during WWII where he became a Tool and Die tradesperson, learned to play the bagpipes and met his wife. Bob emigrated in March 1954 and settled in Windsor with his family, working at Ford Motor Company. He embraced his new Canadian home but never forgot his strong Scottish ties. He founded the Scottish Society of Windsor Pipe Band, co founded the Scottish Club of Windsor and was called upon often (throughout Ontario and the United States) to deliver Immortal Memory speeches at annual Robert Burns dinners. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Joan (2016). He is survived by his devoted children Jeanette Pastorius (Mike 2003), Ian (Heidi) and Graham (Maureen). He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Jennifer, Jeff (Ellie), Diana (Drew), Andrew, Katelyn (Bill) and Rob (Madison) and his most treasured great grand daughters Lola and Nellie. In Scotland he is survived by his sister Jean and brother Billy.
