Robert Bob Porth

Robert Bob Porth 18 novembre 1933 – 7 février 2017

Robert “Bob” Porth passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the age of 83 years.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor; sons Greg (Shannon) Porth and Jason (Wendy) Porth; daughter Carrie Porth (Steve); grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Kaiden, Addisan and Clay; and countless other family members and friends.
Bob was born on the family farm near Radcliffe, SK in 1933. He began working as a mechanic in Lake Alma, SK in 1958.
Eventually he opened his own business in Regina in 1970, where he worked for the next 35 years. Moving to the acreage in 1978 only increased his passion for collecting antique tractors and machinery.
There weren’t many auctioneers that didn’t know Bob by his first name.
Much time and energy was spent restoring Case tractors from the 1930’s. Bob spent countless hours traveling to sales and tractor shows, often hauling his prized Case tractors with him to display.
He was a director with the Case Heritage Foundation for many years.
Bob thoroughly enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He touched the lives of so many people, young and old, with his quiet sense of humor.
At Bob’s request, there will be no memorial service at this time.
Donations in memory of Bob may be made to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 1802 McAra Street, Regina, SK S4N 6C4.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
