Rita Elizabeth Doucet
1939-2017
It is with sadness that the family of Rita Doucet announces
her death at Hospice Fredericton on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the
age of 78. Born in Campbellton, NB, on January 17, 1939, she was the
spouse of the late Daniel Doucet.
Rita leaves behind her sons, James Daniel and Ron Doucet
(Chantel Worth); daughters, Ann Tompkins, Carol Meloney (Ken),
Christine Murphy (Richard) and Charlotte Doucet (Jack); 13
grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her husband, Daniel, Rita was predeceased by
her parents, James and Diana (Dumaresque) Callaghan; daughter, Marlene
Seymour; brother, Michael Callaghan.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on
Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm with a
funeral service following in the chapel at 2:00 pm. For those who
wish, donations in Rita’s memory can be made to Hospice
Fredericton, Canadian Cancer Society, NB Heart and Stroke or the
Diabetes Association.
