With sadness filling their hearts, the family of Rhonda Jean Lafond, late of Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, announce her sudden passing on November 17, 2017 at the age of 49 years. Rhonda was born on June 19, 1968 in Rosthern, SK.
The Wake Service will commence for Rhonda at 11:00 a.m. from the One Arrow First Nation Band Hall on Saturday, Nov., 18, 2017. It will then be moving to the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation School Gym on Sunday, Nov., 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Rhonda will take place on Monday, Nov., 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Gym with interment taking place in the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Cemetery.
Rhonda is lovingly survived by her husband, Glen Lafond; her mother Eliza Prosper; her children, Gregory, Paige, and Chloe; her step children, Barbara Ann (Joe Gagon) Lafond, Glen Lafond Jr., Dawn Marie Lafond (Joe Daniels); her siblings, Debbie & Peter Almightyvoice, Kelly Prosper & Mary Gamble, Lorena & Glen Littlepine, Beverly Prosper, Barry & Maureen Prosper, Garry Prosper, Terry Prosper & Michelle Vandale, Arlene & Allan Matchap, April Prosper & Glen Paintednose, Abigail Prosper, Kevin Prosper, and Tiffany Prosper & Dave Burns, Sharon Godfrey, Emily McCulloch, Melvin (Maureen) Lafond, Beverly & Keith Roy; Geraldine Lafond, Kelvin Lafond, and Lyle Lafond; her grandchildren, Hunter Durocher and Paytin Durocher; her special sons, Delmer Peeteetuce, and Edward Prosper; and her godchildren, Kihew Prosper, Nicholas Littlepine, and Perry Littlepine. Rhonda is predeceased by her father, Louis Prosper; her father in law and mother in law, Isadore & Josephine Lafond; her sister, Dorothy Barbara Prosper; her brother Steven Bradley Prosper; her paternal grandparents John Prosper & Delma Scott; her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Florence Paul; her sister in laws, Mary Beckman and Muriel and Karen Lafond; her brother in laws, Vern & Dwayne Lafond.
