After a short but brave battle with cancer and with his loving family by his side, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ray on Nov 20th at the age of 72.
He leaves behind his loving wife Jill, his best friend and soul mate of 46 years. I will love you forever. Ray will also be missed by his amazing and loving children, Jamie & Sarah, Raymond (Jr) & Lisa and Melissa & Chris. He would often say, “how did I deserve these great kids”.
Ray enjoyed spending time with his adorable grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kyle, Isobel, Lily, Reco and Georgia. He loved them very much. He will be missed by Lynne & Jack and Paul & Betty Ann, whose company he enjoyed and many nieces & nephews, his wonderful friends, his fishing buddy Jimmy, and his coffee pal Paul.
In his younger years, Ray’s nickname was “Nice Guy Brown” and he lived up to that every day. Ray worked as an electrician for 53 years with the union and operated his own small business. In his spare time Ray enjoyed time at his Lake Erie cottage, playing with his grandchildren and spending the winter months in Florida.
Pre-deceased by parents James & Isobel Brown.

Private cremation has already taken place.
Celebration of life will be held on December 9th at 1pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 163 (435 Limeridge Rd. E., Hamilton).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Assistance Program CAP in Hamilton would be appreciated by the family.
