Patricia Anne White – September 7, 1925 – April 12, 2017

Patricia Anne White died peacefully on April 12, 2017 at St. Charles Manor in Victoria, British Columbia. She was born on September 7, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Hubert Campbell White and Zillah Pocock White.
She received an M.S.W. from the University of British Columbia in 1963, a PhD from Bryn Mawr in 1973, and taught at the Maritime School of Social Work of Dalhousie University. She was formerly married to Takao Tanabe, the Canadian painter.
Survivors include her sister, Diantha White Horton of Roswell, Georgia, her niece Laurie Horton Foote of East Greenbush, New York, her nephew David Horton of Vinings,Georgia, four grand-nephews and two grand-nieces, family members Sak Hirose and Vicki Flynn of Victoria, and loving neighbors and friends.
