Parker Scott Guy
August 14, 1998 – September 19, 2017
With broken hearts we share the news that our amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin, Parker Guy, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the age of 19 years.
Parker was born on August 14, 1998 at the Portage District General Hospital. He attended MacGregor Elementary School and graduated from the MacGregor Collegiate High School in 2016.
He enjoyed many sports; playing minor hockey in MacGregor, Portage minor baseball and basketball. He also played football with the Portage Pitbull and with the Neepawa Tigers, where he bonded with many players, developing a special friendship with his team mates.
Parker was ready to attend U of W in the faculty of education when he was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. While battling this disease, Parker continued to volunteer, coaching elementary school basketball and later worked as a camp counselor at Camp Manitou.
Left to cherish and honour his memory are his parents Vaughn and Delinda Guy; sisters Chelsea (Dale) and Kennedy (Eric); his grandparents Robert and Velma Rodgers; his girlfriend Jordan Leslie and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, along with his special puppy Neveah.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at MacGregor Collegiate Institute at 4:30 pm. The family requests that anyone wishing to attend the service wear sports attire of your choice.
