HOLLETT, Olive Jean Mary (nee Taylor) – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Friday, September 8, 2017, Olive Hollett, age 80 years. Predeceased by her husband, Edward Joseph Hollett (1973), common-law spouse, Eric Squires (2005); parents: George “Sammy” Taylor and Jean Dillon; stepfather, Fergus Dillon; and sister, Sandra Sweeney. Leaving to mourn her children: Richard, Rhonda (Richard “Dick” Burke), Gary, Carl (Tina), Christopher, Michelle (Dave White), Trudy (James Morrell), Jason; 14 grandchildren, including special granddaughter Tanya; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Baker (South Carolina), Judy Connolly (Bernard), Dianne Stead, Cindy Cooke (Mike)(Ontario); brothers: Mike Dillon (Nair Miller)(Ontario), Tony Dillon and Bob Dillon; brother-in-law, Jim Sweeney (Ontario); sister-in-law, Marie Cramer (Arkansas); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many many friends – including special friend Pauline Careen. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, September 11, from 12noon-9pm and on Tuesday, September 12, from 12noon-4pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Olive’s memory may be made to Daffodil Place.
