Obituary for Olga Safranovich
With family at her side and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Olga Safranovich at Rivercrest Care Centre on December 21, 2017 at the age of 95 years.
Olga’s memory is cherished by her daughters, Audrey and her husband, Clarence Kitura and Joan Elliott; grandchildren, Kim (Orrin) Perry, Brenda (Brian) Spence, Neil (Tammy) Kitura, Kevin Kitura and Amanda (Steve) Mowbray; great-grandchildren, Brittany (Aaron), Rebecca, Christopher, Abbey, Madison, Ashley, Mitchell and Claire; great-great-granddaughter, Alena; sister, Rose Hanson; sisters-in-law, Sister Aloysia Safranovich and Nettie O’Shea. Olga was predeceased by her husband, Peter; great-granddaughter, Kirsten Kitura; parents, John and Anne Osinchuk; and brothers, Mike, Art and Danny.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Stecyk and the wonderful staff at Rivercrest Care Centre for their care and compassion.
Divine Liturgy Thursday, December 28 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7007 – 109 Street, Edmonton. Basilian Fathers officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. If so desired in lieu of flowers, donations in Olga’s name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada Alberta & NWT Division,150, 9405 – 50 Street, Edmonton, AB T6B 2T4 or Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2 or the charity of one’s choice.
