Obituary for Noreen Williams
WILLIAMS; Noreen – Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia. Born in Brigden, J. Noreen Williams (nee Shaw), of Petrolia, was in her 89th year. Noreen was predeceased this past February by her husband of 69 years, Ross. She was a loving mother to the late Larry (March 1983), Cathy (Peter) Doyle of London, Paul (Ginny) Williams of Petrolia, and to her daughter-in-law Connie (Sonny) Moore of Petrolia. She will be missed by her grandchildren Michael, Jason (Nicole), Allison (Derrick), Shannon, Jon, Lindsay, Stacey Leigh (Todd) and Duncan (Ashlie) and her great grandchildren Morgan, Hayden, Logan, Nolan, Macie, Noah, Jax, Olivia, and Taitem. She will be missed by her sister Dorothy Carter. She was predeceased by her parents Joel and Mae Shaw and by sisters Rita Ashton and Velma Churchill. Noreen will be remembered for her legendary “dancing dolls”, her creativity and for being a darn good fisherman. Her sharp wit and sense of humour brought a smile to everyone. She lived life with a smile on her face and was always eager to share it. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Lambton Meadowview Villa for their warm care and compassion. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 12:00pm from the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. Visitors will be received prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery.
