Mildred “Millie” Louise Rodger
1924-2017
Mildred “Millie” Louise Rodger died peacefully at
the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October 19, 2017. Born
on Grand Manan Island, NB on July 28th, 1924, she was predeceased by
her loving husband, Glenn Rodger.
Millie is survived by her twin children, son, Brien and
daughter, Brenda (Basil) Collett all of Kelowna, BC; brother-in-law,
Gayle; two sister-in-laws, Fern and Alta; step-great-grandchildren; as
well as several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and
great-nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Millie was
predeceased by her two sisters, Pearl Lacey and Josie
Lomax.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to
Millie’s niece, Randi Corey, her husband, Ed Corey as well
as Millie’s close friend Rose L’Italian for all
their care and support.
There will be no visitation by request. A Celebration of
Millie’s life will take place at Grace Memorial United
Baptist Church on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr.
Marilyn McCormick and Rev. Dr. Scott Dunham officiating. For those who
wish, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the
donor’s choice.
