On July 31, 2017, Metro Stasiuk of Fort Saskatchewan, formerly of Vilna, passed away at the age of 87 years.
Metro is survived by his son, Michael “Shane” (Pat); daughters, Judy (Kevin) and Melody; grandchildren, Michael (Carolyn), Tyson (Lora), Diana (Chris), Orry, Hailey and Jake; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kyla-Rae, Dallas and Austin; brother, Peter; and sister, Doris. Predeceased by his wife, Verna; parents, Sam and Effie; sisters, Katie and Mary; and brothers, George, Nick, William and Fred.
Funeral Service Friday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation to follow. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & NWT, 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1.
