Mrs. Mary Tansowny, late of Barrhead, AB passed away on February 9th, 2017, at the age of 95 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her one son James (Maureen) of Barrhead, AB, daughter Lillian (Fred) Hnatko of Westlock, AB; eight grandchildren Barb (Herb) Otto of Legal, AB, Brian Hnatko (Kathy Doyle) of Westlock, AB, Bob (Heidi) Hnatko of Westlock, AB, Steven (Shanda) Tansowny of Calgary, AB, Colin (Wendy) Tansowny of Kelowna, BC, Evelyn (Joe) Cartwright of White Court, AB, Karen (James Purvis) Tansowny of Barrhead, AB and Scott (Jill) Tansowny of St. Albert, AB 14 great grandchildren Daniel & Richard Otto, Emily, Breanne, Mallory & Kyla Hnatko, Mackenzie, Sydney & Madison Tansowny Ethan, Hunter & Taylor Cartwright, Jordan-Lynn Tansowny and Travis James Tansowny, one step great grandchild Darwin Doyle; sister-in-law Mary Hoblak, 2 nieces Darlene & Shirley and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, her parents John & Marie, three brothers Andrew, Steve and Bill. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Barrhead, AB with Father Slavko Dumec officiating with interment in the Church Cemetery.
