Mary Jane McDonald was born on Sunday, September 16, 1951 in Sandy Bay, SK and passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Sandy Bay, SK at the age of 66 years. Mary Jane is survived by her loving family: her two sons, Elvis R. McDonald and his children, Keenan, Jason, Elaine and Emma, and Russell E. McDonald and his child, Mikisew; her sisters, Julienne (Pau) Morin, Marie (Eli) Bear and Mary Ann McDonald; her brothers, Ralph (Irene) McDonald and James (Gladys) McDonald; her special friends, Ruby McDonald, Marlon McCallum and Mervin Bear; her special grandchild, Raelynn Mary Jane Grenier; and her traditional family and friends and people who knew her, AJ Felix, Raymond Ballantyne and Burton Sungrey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Mikisew Felix; her special friend, Leo Felix; her parents, Etienne and Margaret McDonald; her sisters, Victoria Caribou and Eliza McDonald; her brothers, Edward, Charles, John and Louis; and her brother-in-law, Paul Caribou; as well as nieces, nephews, grandkids and chapans, a lot of her friends from Pelican Narrows, and all her traditional friends and family. A prayer service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at River Park Funeral Home. Mary Jane’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Hector Thiboutot School Gym, Father Joseph Subhash officiating. Interment at Sandy Bay Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, 306-764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
