MURPHY, Marjorie (nee Squires) – Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St Luke’s Homes at the age of 85. Predeceased by husband Frank (1990), parents Hudson and Gladys, sisters Betty Grosbach, Sheila Rae, Alice Noseworthy and Dorothy Trenchard; brothers John, Herb, Fred and Jim. Leaving to mourn sons Paul (Cindy), Brian (Shirlene), Geoff (Jenny) and Glen; grandchildren Krista, Will, Stephanie and Sarah; great grandchildren Cole, Nolan, Brayden, Abigaile and Brodie; sisters Gwen Francis (Cal) and Helen Hampton (Fred); special sister in law Millie Squires.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, September 7th 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday, September 8th 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral service to be held 2:00pm on Friday, September 8th at Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Special thank you to staff at St Luke’s Homes, especially Pleasantview Terrace for their exceptional care of Marjorie during her time there.
