Marion Copp
1921-2016
Marion Copp, 95, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert,
passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2016 at the
home.
Marion was born in Albert Mines, July 11, 1921, the
daughter of the late Ernest and Maude (Gould) Tucker. Marion
was a cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. She
worked at a cookhouse in Saint John for a few years. She
also owned and operated Copp’s Special Care Home in Petitcodiac for 15
years. She was a hard worker and you could always count on
her to do whatever needed done. Marion always had a smile
for everyone she met. Her family meant the world to her and
she was a kind and gentle lady who always had a smile for everyone.
“Gone but not forgotten.”
She will be deeply missed by her devoted and dedicated
husband of 57 years, Vincent Strong of Pine Glen Rd.; son , George
Steeves (Margaret) of Dawson Settlement and by her several treasured
grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be missed by
several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sons, Allan
and Maurice; sisters, Nora, Viola, Carrie, Kate; brothers, Willie,
Vernon and Lloyd.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home, with
visitation on Thursday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral
service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday,
December 30th, 2016 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves
officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery,
Hopewell Hill, NB at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated
by the family.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to
the Forest Dale Home Staff for all the exceptional care given to
Marion over the past few years, the support and kindness shown will
never be forgotten.
