Marie Metlej (April 7, 1930 – December 27, 2017) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Marie, who peacefully passed away December 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Diman, Lebanon on April 7, 1930, she moved to Halifax in 1955 where she spent the duration of her life. A woman of deep faith and an endless love, she found joy and peace in the faces of all those she held dear. An avid baker and cook, Marie was famous for the most delicious apple pies. Marie enjoyed knitting and crocheting, always with a story to tell and a wonderful…
