Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Country Lane Nursing Home in Chatsworth, on Monday evening, February 27th, 2017. Maria Elizabeth Magdalina VanEck, of Owen Sound, at the age of 68 years. Loving mother of Andrew Stevenson, David Stevenson and Kevin Stevenson (Elizabeth). Proud grandmother of Tyler, Austin, Rachel, Amanda (Jon), Kelsey, Jake, Zack, Carley and Luke. Loved daughter of Jannetje “Jean” VanEck and the late Marinus VanEck (Luella). Dear sister of Albert VanEck (Donna), John VanEck (Elle), Jane Robertson (Mike Sutherland), Gillbert Van Eck (Sharon), Renee Dadswell (Rodger), Steven VanEck (Carol), Marianne Noack (Mike) and William VanEk (Linda). Predeceased by her grandson, Kevin Stevenson Jr.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Maria “Mary” VanEck will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
