Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, following a brief illness, Margaret (Peg) Bursey, née Cahill, aged 88 years, lately of Gander, formerly of St. John’s, originally of Bell Island.
Pre-deceased by Raymond, her husband of forty-eight years, her six siblings, and her parents, John and Annie Cahill, all residents of Bell Island.

Also mourning their loss are Peg’s grandchildren, Penney and her husband Dave Ariss, Christa and Ryan at Ottawa, and Chris and Beth at St. John’s. Sadly missing “GG” are Peg’s great-grandchildren, Cailee and Makenna at Ottawa. Peg will also be missed by a large number of nieces and nephews and their children.
A special note of gratitude and love on behalf of Peggy to the staff and especially to the residents of the Golden Years Estate retirement home in Gander. She truly enjoyed her time there with you and spoke lovingly of you often. Funeral services, interment and a celebration of Peg’s life will take place in late July or early August 2018, on dates to be announced.
