MacPherson Jerry – Nov 05- 2017

Nov 05- 2017
With my broken heart I announce the passing of my husband, best friend and father of our girls Donald Jerome ” Jerry ” MacPherson, age 68, of New Glasgow, formerly of Westville. Jerry passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of the late Rod and Hilda ( Decoff ) MacPherson.
Jerry was a mechanic all his life and loved his 1968 Mercury Montego.
He looked forward to his visits at the shop with Rusty, Vern and the boys and his visits in his man cave with Sid. He especially enjoyed time spent with our four legged friend Hank, who we called ” our boy.” On Sundays we would sit and watch Nascar races and listen to Frank’s Kind
of Music.
A wonderful husband, father and grandfather he will be missed by his wife of 51 years, Eleanor (Joseph ); daughter Ann Mabey ( Jimmy ) and their children Jimmy, Mathew, and Laura; daughter Carol Conway ( Al ) and their children Jerry, Zack, Layne and Steven. Sisters Kay Keating, Pat Matheson ( Bob ), Sharon Hale ( Allan ).
He was predeceased by his sister Marie.
I would like to thank Dr. Rivera and Westville Medical Clinic, Dr. Fahim, EHS and the Palliative Care Unit. Donations in Jerry’s memory may be made to the Lung Association, Palliative Care Society or SPCA.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at Jerry’s request.
Till I see you again… save me a spot xoxo
