Obituary of Louis HLASNY
Louis Ludwik Hlasny, beloved husband of Marjorie Louise Hlasny of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the age of 86 years.
Louis was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman throughout his life. He retired from CP Rail as an engineer after a 38 year career.
Louis is survived by his wife Louise; daughters Karen (Gary) Sorenson, Gail (Harry) Schneider, Dalene (Ronald) Whitehead, and Cathy (Gerry) Rasmussen; sons Ken (Sharon) Lundin, Barry (Cindy) Lundin, and Darcy (Rhonda) Hlasny; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Steve (Delores) Hlasny; and cousin Milka Volnikova.
Louis was predeceased by his parents Stefan and Katarina Hlasny; and brothers Edward and John Hlasny.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kerba, Dr. Hassan and the staff at the Dulcina Hospice for their care.
A Memorial service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
