STANLEY, Leonard (Huck) – Passed away suddenly at St. Clare’s Hospital on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Leonard Stanley, age 68 years, was predeceased by his parents: William and Grace Stanley; brothers: George and Ted; sister: Helen Dunphy and special friends: Edward and Jack Finn. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife of 44 years, Harriet (nee Finn); his sons: Lenny (Brina) and Leigh (Brittany); grandchildren: Branden, Raine, Autumn, Hunter, Hannah, Jackson and Hudson; sister: Doreen Rose; sisters-in-laws: Genny (Basil – deceased) Murphy, Rose (Edward – deceased) Janes, Bernadine Finn, Veronica (Leonard) Dooling, Patricia (Claude) Madore, Isabell Finn and Edwina Finn; brothers-in-laws: Patrick Dunphy, Bill (Sally) Finn (both deceased), Tom (Carol) Finn, David (Sandra) Finn, and Bernard (Melita) Finn; extended family, friends and everyone from Hayes Bus Service. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 COMMONWEATH AVENUE, Mt. Pearl on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Kevin’s Catholic Church, Goulds. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Leonard’s memory to The Newfoundland and Labrador Down Syndrome Society or The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
