The passing of Leland Milan Brian Hoyt, husband of Rhona (Lyons) Hoyt of Springfield, NB, occurred on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
Born on June 14, 1954 in Springfield, NB, he was a son of the late Milan and Cora (Grant) Hoyt.
Leland was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union, Local 1386.
He enjoyed socializing, country music and being outdoors.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who was very passionate about his grandkids.

In addition to his wife, Leland is survived by his daughter, Christie Prosser (Ryan Kennedy); his sons, Tony (Price) Hoyt (Cheri Myshrall) and Brian Hoyt (Jocelyn); grandchildren, Gage Prosser, Sophie and Amber Kennedy, Morgan and Jacob Myshrall, Nathan and Isaac Hoyt; siblings, Andy Hoyt (Terry), Mavis LaForest (Peter), Fraser Hoyt (Paulette), Dean Hoyt (Heather) and Phyllis Connor (Robert); several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Chris LaForest.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm followed by a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 4 pm with Rev. Hollis Clark officiating.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
