It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kae McAlpine after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer on June 14th 2017 at the age of 78 years old. She passed peacefully in her sleep at the Beverley Care Center in Calgary.
Kae will be deeply missed by her loving husband Bill of 57 years, her daughters Laurel McAlpine and Wendy (Moe) Lambert, her beloved grandchildren Ashley, Timothy (Kim), Abigail and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sisters Patsy Anholt, Gail Graham,… Judy Tetreau, Donna Ducommun and her brother Steven, her brother in law Robert, her sister in laws Karen (Ron) Martin, Kathleen (Larry) Johnston, and Helen Makelki and her many friends and family.
She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Pat Samis, brother in laws Wayne McAlpine, Doug McAlpine, Leroy Anholt, Terry Graham and her sister in law Shirley Erick.
Kae was a gifted artist who loved gardening and was passionate about her golf game. Kae loved to travel and had very fond memories of travels to Europe with family, and the winter vacations she had with Bill and friends.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Beverly Age Care Centre in Calgary and all the doctors and nurses that cared for Kae during her fight.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Foothills Centennial Centre, 204 Community Way Okotoks at 3:00 p.m.
