GILLETTE, Karen Michelle
Age 57, of Lower Sackville passed away peacefully in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Karen was born in California to the late Harold and Bonita Gillette. She moved to Nova Scotia to be with the love of her life James. She loved animals, especially cats, she had a great affection for her pet cat Baby who was her loyal companion through the years. She loved life and even though she had her difficulties she strived every day to be cheerful and make the most of each moment. She was quite literally the most positive woman you could have met and when things were bad they rolled off her back as if they were not even there. Karen will be deeply missed by her husband James Jorgensen; step-daughters Anna and Julia; sister, Jeannie Nettles; and her very special niece Lori Nettles. A very special thank you to the staff of Sagewood for their exceptional care and compassion. In accordance with Karen’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at a later date in California.
