Obituary for Mrs. Joy Mavis Hettie McGee
Today, I lost the love of my life of 59 years, surrounded by the love of her family, at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, on Friday December 29th, 2017, at the age of 78. Joy, beloved wife of Gil. Loving mother of Gil Jr. and his wife Debbie, Donna Penton and Stephen and his wife Cassandra. Proud loving nanny of Sara, Becky (Brad), Megan (Matt), Kaitlyn, Ryan (Sara), Sean, Marcus, Curtis, Sophie and great-nanny of Emily, Delaney, Dillon, Timothy, Kaylee and Olivia. Dear sister of Verna Mitchell, Linda Fields, Guy Jennings and the late Frank Jennings and Valerie (Bill) Wilson. Daughter of the late Willis and Sophie Jennings. Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends. A private family service will be held. A special thank you to Dr. M. Arthur, the caring staff on the Medical Floor and the ICU Unit. Donations to Heart and Stroke or the charity of choice would be appreciated. “Wait for me at Site 419”.
