Obituary for Joseph “Joe” Bernard
Our dad Joseph “Joe” Bernard was born and raised in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He was the first son of four children of Thomas Vensuslas and Mary Thomas. Dad did his schooling at St. Patrick and graduated from Universal College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Our dad cherished his faith for his entire life, and did a great deal of work in the Catholic community and Volunteering Church works. Dad moved to Calgary in September 2012, confident that he would make his future and practice law; and would be a great place to observe his religion and raise his family. Dad spent his entire life in giving a good life to his children and his spouse. He was a great son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and even a grandfather. He worked in various multinational oil companies for his entire career of over forty years in Pakistan. He worked hard through thick and thin. His personality and hard work was greatly inspired by his family friends and community. In his office life he was a great colleague, manager and staff. His colleagues and staff still honour his great work. (Not only his friends). Dad was greatly respected and admired by his family. He will deeply be missed. Relatives and Friends are invited to pay their respects at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14 Street SW) on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
