Joseph “Gerard” Bernard
1930 -2017
Peacefully passed away with his family at his side at Eatonville Care Centre on November 29, 2017. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen. Cherished father to Laura and proud grandfather to Madelene, Gabriel, Evelyn and LilyAnn. Dear father to Paul (Mary Ann) and caring grandfather to Kelly Ann, Erin and Ashley. He was a very fit, active man, who excelled in competition in gymnastics and running while he served. He was a loving and affectionate, hardworking man. He had an interest in cars, and loved cooking and music. You would always hear him whistling and singing. Joseph proudly served for 15 years in the Canadian Navy, joining when he was 20 years old. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Eatonville Care Centre for their care and support of Gerard. Resting at Lynett Funeral Home.
